ULTERIOR
Having recently finished a UK tour with White Rose Movement and R O M A N C E, Ulterior have released new double A-side single, Sister Speed/Aporia, available on limited 10” vinyl and digital formats now from Disc Error Recordings. The London-based four-piece’s slimy, red-hot, dirty noise-rock with charisma is notorious for creating a murderously intense atmosphere live.
Splicing mechanical electronics with guitars and sloganeering vocals, Ulterior cite Suicide, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Spacemen3, JAMC, and David Bowie as influences. True to form their sounds don’t fit into any neat genre - ‘too heavy for chi-chi electro clubs, too intense for lolloping indie chiddlers, too much pouting rock'n'roll and good looks for the noise geeks to stomach. Even the fash mags seemed to find Ulterior too fash mag to cover’ (The Quietus).
