The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster

Where, you may well, indeed should, ask yourself, have The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster been? For a while it felt the UK had lost one of the most incendiary live bands we had. Well, armed with a hugely anticipated new album,‘Blood and Fire’ – brought to you via Russia, rehab, personnel upheaval, scraps and the searing heat of unquenchable souls on fire – they return with a vengeance this May. The album has received rave reviews all round, with journalists from The Fly to NME to Drowned in Sound cooing over the release.
You may know the Matchbox played at Offset’s previous incarnation – TMF Festival – shortly after releasing their first album – and they blew away the crowd. This year’s show will no doubt repeat that jaw-dropping performance.
