Kap Bambino
If you haven’t heard Kap Bambino live, then you haven’t heard Kap Bambino.* Caroline Martial (her of the wildcat vocals) explains, ‘We are both hyperactive, but I am hyperactive in a sickness way.’ (TheLipster.com). The band’s aggressive, arcade-like turbulence is provided by the other half of the duo, the fabulously-named Mr. Orion Bouvier, and together Kap Bambino make music which frolics around a nightmare landscape of Them, Suicide, rave music and dyslexic lyrics.
The music partners have played alongside Felix Kubin, DAT Politics, These New Puritans, Late of the Pier and Patric Catani since the band’s formation in 2001, in Bordeaux. Martial and Bouvier’s most recent release was the album ‘Blacklist’ (Because), and they already have two earlier LPs under their sexy little belts - 2002’s ‘Love’ (on their own label, wwilko), and 2008’s ‘Zero Life, Night Vision’ (Alt < Del).
