Death in Plains

DEATH IN PLAINs is a visual/musical adventure, the brainchild of Enrico Boccioletti (already member of indie-rock combo Damien* and electronic duo French Fries) from Pesaro, Italy. Yet with a name loosely derived from SNES game Super Mario World, and a sound that joins Fuck Buttons to Jesus and Mary Chain via MGMT, he is as universal an artist as they come. In 2009, Boccioletti sent his music into Offset which was passed on and resulted in a booking (on the ECC tent) and a single on DiscError Recordings (the label by one half of ECC).

Following a brilliant performance at the event, DIP went on to support slots for Telepathe and The Fiery Furnaces and the release on DiscError; the single ‘Over and Above’;described as ‘a summer echo, the sound of serotonin rising; of legions of soaked T-shirted kids marching on the spot in a dancefloor half-dream: of the belief that everything might just be ok, at least until the end of the song’.

We’re delighted to have Death in Plains back for 2010, with a set that promises incredible new material.
